NO MINIPIX
Saw the amazing Kelly Slusher last night, Friday the 13th, at Pete's Candy Store (an incredible space i might add!). It was a show we might have missed if not for dumb luck. We were sitting in some cafe near union square, eating creme brulee, drinking lemonade + ice tea, skimming through friday night's events in TIME OUT NY and ran across... The show, despite 'some' technical difficulty and a cold (Friday the 13th related, no doubt!) was amazing! Kelly Slusher's performance with Jason Corace (A Boy Named Thor) was great! Jason was funny and Kelly's vocals left a great impression that lingered in my head for the rest of the evening! the show was brief, and she performed tracks from her latest album, Rocks and Tears. damn us for not having a camera.
