NO MINIPIX
Saw Badly Drawn Boy at the Roseland. Unfortunately no minipix here, as the Roseland is run by a bunch of snazi's, so i couldn't bring my camera. I will recount however the amazing set or sets rather, that Badly Drawn Boy performed. The first set included mostly new songs from Have You Fed The Fish?, some songs from About A Boy, all of which became a blur when i got to hear him perform, my favorite Badly Drawn Boy song, "Magic In The Air"!!! I could probably go on and on about it, but i won't. Then after a short 5 minute interlude, he came back on stage and performed for well over an hour! At one point he got the audience to make a line down the middle of the floor. Never once short of enthusiasm and excitement during that night's performance, something tells me he does this each and everynight...what magic indeed! He did most of the songs from About A Boy including "Above You, Below Me", "Walking Out Of Stride", "Something to Talk About", "Silent Sigh"...More new stuff from Have You Fed The Fish? and what are in my opinion the highlights from this set, songs from The Hour Of Bewilderbeast. My favorite, and most likely others as well (as evident by the audience's enthusiasm) was an absolutely wonderful (and extended) performance of "Fall In A River". I can't wait to see him next time he tours!
