KIM'S MUSIC
We've uploaded loads of new stuff as a direct result of a current wallet explosion I had at the venerable Kim's Music and Video on St. Marks, possibly one of the greatest shops in the universe. One thing I've noticed while patronizing this establishment is the odd fact that each time I go and approach the rear of the store (near the elevated speakers), the music selection being broadcast through said speakers abruptly changes to some hard-core-metal-industrial-where's-the-mosh-pit offensiveness. And they proceed to play the entire album while I continue browsing. Do they wish to drive me away? Are they somehow trying to test my bargain-shopping endurance? Do they question my determination to feed my ripening CD collection? I will persist. I am resolute. I will continue to lay down my paychecks on that counter. Bring it on, Kim's.
