my band is bigger than your band

During my bi-weekly consumption of concert-listing publications, I came to the realization that Broken Social Scene will not be making an appearance in NYC in support of their latest self-titled album. Their extensive tour will cover 8 Canadian and 14 American cities before venturing overseas to visit their European canuckaphile fans. Now I'm sure Lawrence, Kansas is a fine town but there is no chance in Constantine's hell that their BSS fanbase can buy more concert tickets than their NYC counterparts. So why the overt snub, Broken Social Scene? Why hast thou forsaken us? Humph. Pffft. Sigh.

If you can, go see them. They put on a great show.
