HIPSTER \hip"ster\, n.
Since the late 1990s, "hipster" has been used to describe performers and devotees of indie rock, emo, and other related styles of music. Hipsters are also those who follow the associated fashions and tastes of these musical genres. Accessories of the modern hipster include Vespa scooters; mustaches; shirts referring to your "50th Birthday Party", and cheap, domestic beer that has a cool logo, but a taste remarkably similar to pee. see Hipster Bingo.
Is this great or what? I got this gem off of snobsite.com, a blog-like website companion to the book: The Rock Snob's Dictionary by David Kamp & Steven Daly. God I love blogs... And thanks to this one, I'm working on being a much better rock snob.
